Bocchoris, Cava Brut NV

Bocchoris was established in 1918 by the Santacana family, who are now into their third generation of producing Cava. Their cellar is in the centre of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, a small village outside of Barcelona, and is considered one of the five oldest and most traditional Spanish cellars in existence. Thier Cava Brut NV is a great entry level Cava for those new to Spanish sparkling wines. Made using indiginous grapes, it is a blend of 45% Xarel-Lo, 40% Macabeo and 15% Parellada. Intense patisserie and green apple aromas are present on the nose, leading onto a soft yet fresh palate with a very well integrated acidity and creamy, fine mousse. A great, informal apertif perfect for guilt-free popping.
